COMMUNITY INFORMATION

• Our Board President, Architectural and Social Committee Chair,and webmasters (Al & Michele Lackner) will be moving soon and we need volunteers to chair the ACC and Social Committees and to take over maintenance of our website!  If you are interested, please contact Nancy Keen at nkeen@vanguardmgt.com or one of the Board Members.

 

• The next HOA Meeting will be July 9, 2008 at 12900 Middlebrook Rd (Upcounty Community Center) at 7pm.  Since a quorum was not reached at the Meeting in April, the Annual Meeting has been postponed to be held at this meeting.  All residents are encouraged to attend.

• GE APPLIANCE RECALL - IMPORTANT!!!
  GE has recently recalled several types of dishwashers due to a fire hazard as well as side by side refrigerators for problems with the ice makers.  Many of the RYAN Homes that have the "upgraded" appliances fall under the recall and it may affect the Pulte homes as well.  For more information and to check if your model has been recalled go to.... http://www.geappliances.com/products/recall/

• Pet waste is becoming more and more of a problem in our neighborhood.  If a homeowner is witnessed not picking up after their pet, please email Nancy Keen, Vanguard Management Agent, with the homeowners address as well as file a complaint with Montgomery County Animal Control, 240-773-5960. This also goes for pets which are not leashed.  

 

• Speeding continues to be a major concern in our       neighborhood.  With parking spaces and driveways on either side of the street, children playing and pedestrian traffic, speeds in the neighborhood must be kept below 25 mph to keep everyone safe and avoid accidents.  Please show consideration and respect of your neighbor's safety and drive through the community with care. 
  
  

• Trash will not be collected on the holidays listed below and there will not be a pick up until the next scheduled trash pick up day following the holiday (not the next day).  Also, the recycling pick up day gets moved to Thursday instead of Wednesday if the holiday falls on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.  Please remember that trash and recycling collections may not be put out for pick up until after 8pm the evening before collection day and MUST be placed in a heavy duty plastic bag or trash receptacle.  This is strictly enforced by the HOA, please notify Vanguard of any violators!  We appreciate your cooperation with this!

• Are you experiencing problems with water pressure?  If so, all residents should immediately report loss of water pressure when it occurs to the WSSC.  The toll free number to call is 1-800-634-8400. 
   

• If you are experiencing problems with your recycling collection, please call the Montgomery County recycle line at (240)777-6410.   Order blue recycling bins
