Thanks for coming to the Germantown Citizens Association (GCA) Meeting. The turnout was probably the best we've had in recent years. 

I am president of my HOA, and I was impressed that your HOA could bring together so many people on such short notice. So far, I have 10 e-mails. I was hoping Sue Edwards would be present so I could give them to her. I will see that she gets them along with any new ones I receive. 

While it's good that the community as a whole is in agreement, it's also preferable that individual letters be sent. I think everything is on the right track, and the Planning Board will consider the wishes of all involved. 

We will know when the hearing is scheduled, and your HOA will be notified. The Board typically meets every Thursday, with some exceptions for holidays, etc. The agenda will be posted on their Web site on the Friday afternoon before the meeting. The staff opinion will be posted on Monday afternoon the week of the hearing.

It's true that there isn't much time to take action following the announcement, so I would advise preparing soon. If you can get people together who will go to Silver Spring to testify in person, that's good too. Thanks for you interest in the GCA.
